										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In observing and maintaining the relevance of Read Across Jamaica Day 2021 during the pandemic, JWNF continued its partnership with the Book Industry Association of Jamaica, where 65 books were donated to the libraries of eleven of our focus schools. The book featured the iconic Louise Bennett-Coverly, a staple in Jamaican households in keeping with the theme of Jamaica 60. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>JWN Foundation unveiled the Elim Agro Processing Plant on March 24, 2022, valued at J$45,000,000.00 at the Sydney Pagon STEM Academy (SPSA), the only agricultural school in central Jamaica.</p>

<p>Items were distributed in bulk to school principals over a one (1) day period. This partnership was anchored by the Government of Jamaica through the Ministry of National Security’s Liv Gud Programme and had cross-functional support from Camparistas in the PAD, Marketing &amp; CCM teams. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In October, following the announcement of the reopening of scholars as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the JWN Foundation partnered with the Ministry of National Security to assist schools in the communities we serve. This support allowed the schools to meet the sanitation and social distancing protocols safeguard the health and safety of our students.</p>
<p>With the Ministry of Education’s objective to reopen schools on October 5, 2020, JWN Foundation partnered with the Ministry of National Security’s social intervention unit to provide support to the school communities in their efforts to meet the sanitization and social distancing protocols. To this end, JWN Foundation distributed assorted back-toschool support packages to 13 schools in Clarendon &amp; St. Elizabeth, valued at $14,302,592.84 (€82,350.64).</p>
<p>This support included handwash stations, thermometers for temperature checks, face shields and masks, 800L of hand sanitizers and vouchers for cleaning supplies valued at $600,000.
